As part of the contract for the supervision of the construction of the Buz\u0103u\u2013Foc\u0219ani Motorway, Lot 1: Buz\u0103u\u2013Vadu Pa\u0219ii, part of the A7 corridor, the second workshop for a group of employees of CNAIR \u2013 Compania Na\u021bional\u0103 de Administrare a Infrastructurii Rutiere, the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration of Romania, was held in Ohrid from 30 September to 3 October.<\/p>\n
The workshop, on the topic of \u201cCircular Economy and the Use of Renewable Materials in Construction,\" was organised by the Civil Engineering Institute Macedonia \u2013 CEIM and the Institute for Research in Environment, Civil Engineering and Energy \u2013 IECE. It was led by Prof. Dr. Angelina Taneva-Veshoska, with the participation of CEIM experts specialising in relevant areas of civil engineering and infrastructure.<\/p>\n
The workshop brought together 20 representatives of CNAIR, including directors and managers from the technical and project implementation departments, as well as representatives from the finance department.<\/p>\n
The programme addressed a range of current topics, including:<\/p>\n
- new sustainable materials for road construction;
\n- circular economy principles and their application in the construction sector;
\n- new opportunities for integrating circular economy approaches into road infrastructure;
\n- an integrated methodology for assessing slope instability risks in low-quality rock masses;
\n- a case study of the Ki\u010devo \u2013 Ohrid Motorway, followed by a site visit.<\/p>\n
The workshop created a valuable opportunity for CEIM experts and CNAIR professionals to share practical experience, knowledge, and best practices, while discussing how modern and more sustainable approaches could be integrated into future infrastructure projects.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
