The Geotechnics Department offers services that include: geotechnical, geomechanical, geological and hydrogeological terrain investigation works, geotechnical design, hydrogeological research works, preparation of fundamental hydrogeological and engineering-geological maps, expertise, studies, reports and research consulting, groundwater exploitation etc. There are three sectors that are part of this department:<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Performs supervision and quality control of the performance of geotechnical investigation works, as well as supervision from geotechnical aspect during the performance of the construction works;<\/span>
\n\u2022 Monitoring of landslides and similar problems in the field of geotechnics by measuring installed inclinometers and tensiometers;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

\u2022 Prepares geological reports, studies, designs and maps for deposits of mineral raw materials and building materials;<\/span>
\n\u2022 Prepares documentation for obtaining a concession for exploitation of mineral raw material in accordance with the Law on Mineral Raw Materials;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Performs engineering geological, geotechnical, geomechanical field research works and laboratory tests in various fields of construction, geology;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Prepares geotechnical and geomechanical reports as bases for designing residential and industrial buildings, dams, bridges, tunnels, windmills, thermal power plants, gas pipelines, roads, highways and other infrastructure facilities;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Performs audit of technical documentation in the field of geotechnics, geomechanics, geology, engineering geology and hydrogeology;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

\u2022 Prepares expertise, studies, reports, and consulting for groundwater investigation and exploitation;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Designs wells and\/or well systems for water supply of settlements and industrial facilities, air conditioning of facilities, drainage of mines;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Performs hydrogeological investigation works to define the groundwater quantity and quality, and the conditions and opportunities for exploitation, as well as to define protection zones of springs and water supply systems;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Hydrogeological investigation works for determining the vulnerability and contamination risk, quality and remediation of groundwaters;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Prepares documentation for obtaining licenses for groundwaters use according to the law on waters;<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Performs geophysical tests with the methods of seismic refraction and reflection, vertical electrical probing and electrical resistivity tomography;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t
