On November 15, 2024, a section of the Buzău – Focșani Motorway was officially opened, specifically Segment 1: Buzău - Vadu Pași from KM 3+400 to KM 4+600, including the complete Bretea 1 from KM 0+000 to KM 7+750, with GIM serving as the Chief Supervisor.

Additionally, Segment 2: Vadu Pași - Râmnicu Sărat, spanning from KM 4+600 to KM 35+000, was also opened for use.

The official inauguration of the motorway was attended by Prime Minister Ciolacu, Minister of Transport Grindeanu, and the General Director of CENAIR SA, Pistol.
