On 03.03.2017 in Strumica was held a public hearing on the regional plan for management of waste and the Strategic Environmental Assessment of the plan in Southeast Planning Region, which involved a team of experts from the Civil Engineering Institute Macedonia, Institute for Research in Environment Civil Engineering and Energy - IECE and Environ Resources

The main findings and conclusions from the process of preparation of the plan and SEA were presented at the discussion, as well as the proposed measures and alternatives by the team engaged for their preparation.

The discussion was attended by representatives of the Southeast Planning Region, ten affected municipalities, environmental experts, as well as non-governmental organizations.
