Civil Engineering Institute "Macedonia" AD Skopje supervised the complete reconstruction of the bridge over the river Bregalnica on the regional road R-1309 section Kocani-Zrnovci. On 06.06.2018, the Head of the EU Delegation to Macedonia, Ambassador Samuel Zbogar visited the municipality of Zrnovci within the campaign "EU for you", where the bridge built with funds from the European Union was put into operation.

The event was attended by the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Program - UNDP in Macedonia Louisa Winton and the Mayor of Zrnovci Blaze Stankov, as well as representatives of state institutions in charge of the bridge.

The commissioning of the bridge will mark the completion of the transport component of the European Union Program for repair of flood damage in 2015, for which 10 million euros were provided, and in which the bridge in Zrnovci was the largest project of the Program. implemented by UNDP.

The old bridge, which was severely damaged, was completely demolished and a new 86-meter-long bridge was built in its place, worth over 43 million denars (800,000 euros) provided by the EU.
