Civil Engineering Institute Macedonia AD Skopje received recognition in the category "Companies that are leaders in sustainable development, are strategically determined to create sustainable business and through their specific platform or initiative contribute to the realization of one or more goals of the Sustainable Development Goals 2019".

Also within the event, Martina Blinkova Doncevska, employed in the environmental protection sector at IECE, is officially the winner of the award Leaders of the Sustainable Development Goals 2019! The category in which it was awarded is "Individuals employed in companies who through their work in the company initiated a program or change that leads to the realization of any of the Sustainable Development Goals", and the ECOCALENDAR initiative was recognized as a positive action to achieve sustainable practices in IECE and CEIM.

The award was solemnly presented by Mr. Nicolas Bertolini, from the Delegation of the European Union, Mr. Kocho Angjushev in charge of economic issues in the government and Mr. Benjamin Perks, Acting UN Resident Coordinator in the country.

The call was announced within the project "Building cross-sectoral partnerships for sustainable development" funded by the European Union and implemented by Connect, AGORA and the Global Compact Network from Bulgaria.
