A2 Highway is capital for North Macedonia, and is part of the significant Pan-European Corridor 8 (East-West), and at the same time is a key part of the primary road network providing traffic connection of broad international significance. Kichevo-Ohrid Section is 57 km long. It is complex and complicated section where large number of cuttings and slopes with unusual height are predicted.
Pursuant to the Contract for completing the design documentation, in the period 09.2019 - 09.2020, CEIM developed design solutions for slopes stabilization. All solutions are in accordance with the most contemporary standards and recommendations imposing strict requirements for roads protection and safety, where one of the more significant aspects is the slopes stability.
