Civil Engineering Institute Macedonia has concluded a current contract with the Contractor STRABAG A.G. - Skopje for design services with all phases for the creation of parts of the design documentation with revision for the railway construction design on Corridor VIII, phase 1, section Kumanovo – Beljakovce, with a total length of about 31 km.
Also, Civil Engineering Institute Macedonia has been working as a site laboratory for a year and is conducting ongoing fresh and hardened concrete tests, ongoing tests of the usability of earth materials, and geo-mechanical tests of constructed layers during the reconstruction of the Kumanovo – Beljakovce section as part of Corridor VIII. In addition to the above activities, Civil Engineering Institute Macedonia carried out extra investigations of underpass 44, bridge 54, and Kumanovo railway station on the mentioned Kumanovo - Beljakovce railway.
