To extend the operational life of TPP Oslomej, which has an installed capacity of 125 MW, the need for additional investigation and description of the coal deposit Gushterica arose. This locality covers the NE part of the Oslomej coal basin, i.e., the part not exploited within the mine Oslomej - East. For this reason, CEIM has undertaken complex geological, hydrogeological, and geo-mechanical investigations and testing to determine: the geological structure of the terrain, the genesis and distribution of the mineral raw material, coal reserves and its categorization and quality, and the exploitation conditions.
The geo-mechanical laboratory tests were carried out in the CEIM-accredited laboratory, while the Mining Institute from Belgrade carried out the coal tests.
